I am licensed as a psychologist by the State of California and provide psychotherapy for adults, couples, and teens at Weir Psychological Services, Inc. in Campbell, CA. I have worked and trained in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health agencies, college counseling centers, and inpatient addiction programs.

Influenced by the effect of Buddhist Psychology in my own life, as a clinician I’ve been drawn to learning about the role and use of mindfulness in psychotherapy. Since 2003, I have worked with children, teens, and adults in many different settings who have many different needs. Two of my specialty areas include mindfulness-informed therapy and working with survivors of one or more traumatic events, including

1. •physical and/or sexual assault
   

2. •emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse
   

3. •developmental or attachment trauma (people who lived through very challenging childhoods).
   

People who meet with me often seek support for relationship troubles, past or feared abandonment, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and work or academic stress.

In addition to my private practice work, I have a deep passion for teaching, which I have been able to do in numerous settings, including as an instructor of the Psychology of Gender for Palo Alto University's Psychology and Social Action program, and as the instructor for Interpersonal Abuse and Trauma at Fresno City College.
